Teacher Appreciation Award
Eligibility Requirements - The award is open to any Hispanic-American certified teachers (active or retired) with at least 3 years' experience teaching in grades Pre-K to College at a public or non-public school or college in Broward and Miami-Dade County, Florida. There are five award categories: Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and College.
Past winners will have to wait 2 years to apply again.
Candidates must demonstrate sustained commitment to improving mutual understanding between Americans and Hispanics, and must have made a significant contribution to enhancing students' knowledge of Latin-America and Spain.
