The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County’s Official Economic Development Partnership, is proud to host the Eighth Annual Beacon Awards on April 7, 2010 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. This premier event honors local businesses and organizations for their significant contributions to the Miami-Dade economy in the areas of job creation, business expansion, corporate citizenship, and leadership. The Beacon Awards were conceived as a part of The Beacon Council’s Local Business Local Jobs outreach program, which focuses on retention and expansion by addressing the needs of local businesses, and supporting the creation of new jobs in our community.
THE JAY MALINA AWARD
The most distinguished honor, this award recognizes the business executive contributing the most to the growth of his/her industry in Miami-Dade County. The award is named in honor of the founder and co-chair of the One Community One Goal® (OCOG) initiative.
