USHAA National Business Council Leverages Stimulus Opportunities
Dear USHAA Family & Friends,
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act fo 2009, which provides $311 billion in appropriations for investments in key areas like infrastructure, health education, and energy, will create many business opportunities for USHAA's members.
- Investments in Infrastructure and Science - $120 billion
- Investments in Health - $14.2 billion
- Investments in Education and Training - $105.9 billion
- Investments in Energy - $37.5 billion
- Investments in Law Enforcement - $7.8 billion
- Assistance to Americans - $24.3 billion
USHAA is now accepting applications from M/WBE certified companies for admission into its National Business Council, a year-long program to leverage these opportunities. The goal of the program is to generate $10 million in new business.
